Community Workday! The vibes were good and we fully transformed a nice section of the stream bank! No worries if you missed it, you can always join us on the 4th Saturday of every month. A hui hou!

Its time for another Community Workday! This month we will be planting and maintaining our lo’i kalo. We are so blessed to have this resource and would love your help in keeping it a beautiful and thriving system.

On Saturday, March 24th we will be working in the lo’i from 9:00 a.m. to noon, followed by lunch on us! (Please RSVP so we can be sure to have enough food for everyone). We will meet at the Waipa poi garage a little before 9:00 and we will all walk to the lo’i together.

Please bring tabis, a water bottle, sun protection, rain gear, a towel, a change of clothes, and your aloha. Also, we would love folks to bring out weed whackers and hedge trimmers to help us get the job done faster. But no worries if not — there is plenty to do with your hands.

It’s a great day to bring out your friends, neighbors, and the whole family!

Please join us as we malama our stream restoration site on 2/24 from 9am to 12n. We will walk to the site to work together before returning to the poi garage for a delicious lunch on us!

Waipā hosts a community workday every 4th Saturday of the month from 9am to 12p, open to all and followed by lunch on us!

The work is always different, depending on what is most in need of extra malama.

Our workday takes place in one of the three ahupua’a sections (mauka, kula or kai) and includes work like controlling invasive weeds and planting native trees or other useful /edible plants.
